The Supreme Court on Tuesday indicated that it intends to quash FIRs registered against students who participated in recent protests over examination paper leaks and other recruitment-related issues. The Court, however, clarified that the protection would not extend to individuals with histories of serious criminal offences who allegedly infiltrated the demonstrations.
