Iran Resumes Tehran International Flights

Iran has resumed commercial flights from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport for the first time since the conflict involving Iran, the US and Israel began nearly two months ago.

Iran Commercial Flights Resume From Tehran

Iranian state television reported that flights took off from Imam Khomeini International Airport to Istanbul, Muscat and Medina. The reopening marks a gradual return of international air travel from Tehran after weeks of restrictions linked to the conflict.

Iran had partly reopened its airspace earlier this month after a ceasefire with the United States halted direct fighting between the two countries.

Tehran Airport Reopens After Conflict

The restart of flights is an important sign of limited normalisation in Iran’s civil aviation sector. International air links were disrupted after the war created major security concerns across the region.

The reopening is expected to remain cautious, with flight operations likely to depend on security assessments, airspace conditions and the stability of the ceasefire.

Iran-US Talks Continue In Pakistan

The airport reopening came as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held meetings with Pakistan’s top civilian and military leadership in Islamabad.

Pakistan has been trying to support indirect diplomatic contact between Iran and the United States. US President Donald Trump has sent Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Pakistan for talks, while Iran has said any communication with Washington will remain indirect and routed through Pakistani officials.

The diplomatic push follows Trump’s announcement extending the ceasefire with Iran, giving Pakistan more time for outreach aimed at keeping negotiations alive.
