Iran Fires Missiles At Israel After Beirut Strike
Iran fired missiles towards Israel after an Israeli attack on Beirut, with Tehran saying the strike had crossed “all red lines” and warning that further attacks on Lebanon would invite retaliation.
Iran Missile Attack On Israel
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the missile barrage was a warning to Israel over its continuing military action in Lebanon. Israeli authorities said air defence systems were activated after missiles were launched from Iran towards northern Israel.
The attack marked a serious escalation in the region and came amid rising tensions linked to Israeli strikes on Hezbollah-linked areas in Lebanon.
Beirut Strike Triggers Iran Response
Iran said Israel’s attack on Beirut crossed a major threshold, particularly as Tehran has repeatedly warned against expanding the conflict deeper into Lebanon. The Beirut strike reportedly targeted areas associated with Hezbollah, which remains a key Iranian ally in the region.
Tehran framed its response as a message that further attacks on Lebanon would not go unanswered. Israel, meanwhile, has maintained that its operations are aimed at Hezbollah positions and threats from Lebanese territory.
Israel-Iran Tensions Escalate
The missile exchange has raised fresh concerns over a wider regional conflict involving Israel, Iran and Hezbollah. The situation also threatens fragile diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing the war from spreading further across West Asia.
With Iran directly firing missiles at Israel and Israel continuing operations in Lebanon, the risk of further escalation remains high. Regional governments and international actors are expected to push for restraint as both sides signal readiness for more military action.
