Hemant Soren Writes to Protesting Students
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has written an open letter to students protesting alleged irregularities in state recruitment examinations, urging them not to fall into what he called a political trap. Soren assured aspirants that their concerns would be addressed seriously and called for the dispute to be resolved through dialogue and trust.

Soren said students had the democratic right to raise their demands and maintained that senior ministers had remained in dialogue with protesters.
He said the government wanted to make Jharkhand’s recruitment examination system more transparent, technology-enabled, secure and accountable.
The Chief Minister also appealed to students to maintain peace while the government works on addressing their concerns.
Soren Warns Against Political Influence
The Chief Minister accused sections of the Opposition of attempting to exploit the student agitation for political gain and asked protesters not to be influenced by political narratives.
Soren said the government’s responsibility was to listen to students and resolve their grievances through dialogue.
His remarks came after clashes near the Jharkhand Assembly, where police used water cannons, tear gas and lathi-charge as job aspirants marched towards the legislature.
Jharkhand Students Continue Recruitment Protest
Protesting students have disputed the government’s claim that most of their demands have already been accepted.
The agitation centres on alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations and demands for cancellation of several disputed exams. Protesters have also sought an independent investigation into the alleged irregularities.
The continuing dispute has placed pressure on the Jharkhand government to find a political and administrative solution to the prolonged student agitation.
