Maharashtra TET Leak Sparks Row

Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke has attacked the government over the Maharashtra TET paper leak, saying the incident raises serious questions about the credibility of examination systems. His remarks came after the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test was postponed a day before it was scheduled to be held.

Maharashtra TET Paper Leak Sparks Political Row

The Maharashtra TET 2026 exam, scheduled for June 28, was postponed after parts of the question paper were allegedly leaked. Police action in Bhiwandi led to the arrest of three persons and the alleged busting of an inter-state paper leak network.

The postponement has caused uncertainty for candidates who were preparing to appear for the teacher eligibility test. Authorities are expected to announce a fresh exam date after the investigation progresses.

Abhijeet Dipke Targets Government Over Exams

Addressing a press conference, Abhijeet Dipke said the TET leak showed repeated failures in protecting the integrity of competitive examinations. He referred to earlier exam-related controversies, including NEET, while accusing the government of failing students and job aspirants.

Dipke also demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. However, the Maharashtra TET is a state-level examination, and the latest leak is being investigated by Maharashtra authorities.

Jantar Mantar Protest To Intensify

The Cockroach Janta Party, which began as a digital satirical political outfit, has been holding a sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar since June 20. The group has launched a wider campaign demanding accountability over alleged exam irregularities.

Educationist and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk is expected to join the protest and begin an indefinite fast. Dipke has called on students, parents, teachers and civil society groups to support the campaign against paper leaks and examination malpractice.
