ED Raids 10 Sites Linked to Azam Khan, Jauhar
The Enforcement Directorate has conducted searches at around 10 locations linked to Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and institutions associated with the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust. The raids were carried out across Rampur and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh and parts of Delhi as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation.

The searches were conducted under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Premises connected with Mohammad Ali Jauhar University and the trust operating the institution were among those covered by the enforcement action.
Investigators are examining financial records, documents and digital evidence as part of efforts to trace alleged proceeds of crime and determine how funds were utilised.
Jauhar University Funds Under ED Scanner
The investigation concerns allegations that funds linked to government contracts were diverted through private contractors and subsequently used for assets associated with the university and trust.
Authorities allege that contractors who benefited from government contracts made financial contributions to the trust and university, including through donations and construction-related expenditure.
These allegations remain under investigation and have not been judicially established.

The Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust, associated with Azam Khan and members of his family, operates Mohammad Ali Jauhar University and other educational institutions in Rampur.
The latest searches are aimed at examining transactions involving contractors and tracing the alleged movement and utilisation of funds.
