Kejriwal Backs Satyendar Jain After DJB Case Arrest

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has accused the BJP of orchestrating the arrest of former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain in an alleged Delhi Jal Board corruption case. Kejriwal described the case as politically motivated and claimed the allegations against Jain would eventually collapse.

Kejriwal Calls Satyendar Jain Arrest Politically Motivated

Kejriwal alleged that Jain had been arrested at the BJP’s “behest” and accused the ruling party of using corruption investigations to target political opponents.

He argued that Jain had faced allegations in earlier cases and pointed to a previous corruption investigation in which a closure report was accepted after investigators cited insufficient evidence.

Kejriwal claimed the latest allegations would also ultimately be exposed as false.

Satyendar Jain Faces Delhi Jal Board Corruption Case

Jain was arrested by the Delhi government’s Anti-Corruption Branch along with former Delhi Jal Board CEO Udit Prakash Rai and four others.

The investigation concerns alleged irregularities in tenders linked to sewage treatment plant projects.

Investigators allege that tender conditions were manipulated to favour certain parties and are examining suspected financial transactions and commissions connected to the contracts.

The allegations remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.

BJP Rejects AAP Political Vendetta Charge

The BJP has rejected Kejriwal’s accusations and maintained that the arrests followed evidence uncovered during the investigation.

BJP leaders have claimed that investigators established a money trail linked to the alleged irregularities, while AAP continues to argue that Jain is being targeted through politically motivated cases.

The competing claims are expected to remain a major political flashpoint as the investigation progresses.
