CBSE Hacking Claim Puts Data Security Under Scanner

CBSE’s data security system has come under scrutiny after a hacker reportedly claimed access to scanned answer sheets and question papers linked to the board’s evaluation process. The board has said technical vulnerabilities are being reviewed and corrective steps are being taken.

CBSE Hacking Claim Raises Data Security Concerns

The alleged hacking claim has raised serious concerns over the safety of student data stored on CBSE’s digital evaluation system. According to the claim, scanned answer sheets and question papers were accessible through weak or unsecured links, exposing possible gaps in the board’s online infrastructure.

The matter has triggered questions over whether sensitive academic records were adequately protected and whether the system had enough safeguards to prevent unauthorised access.

Hacker Claims Access To CBSE Answer Sheets

The hacker reportedly claimed that CBSE answer sheets could be accessed online without proper authentication. However, there is no official confirmation yet that the data was misused on a large scale or altered by any unauthorised person.

CBSE has acknowledged technical vulnerabilities in the portal and said it is working to fix the problem. The board is also expected to strengthen its cybersecurity checks to prevent similar incidents in the future.

CBSE Evaluation Portal Faces Cybersecurity Review

The alleged hacking episode comes amid wider concerns over CBSE’s post-result processes, including complaints from students about answer sheet access and evaluation-related errors. At least two students have reportedly alleged that their answer sheets were swapped, adding to concerns over the reliability of the system.

The immediate challenge for CBSE is to restore confidence among students and parents by ensuring secure access, stronger authentication and greater transparency in its digital evaluation process.
