US Navy Jet Lost at Sea During Red Sea Operations
A United States Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter jet was lost at sea after falling overboard from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman while it was operating in the Red Sea. The incident occurred during a sharp maneuver performed by the carrier to evade an incoming threat. During the maneuver, both the jet and the tow tractor it was attached to rolled off the deck and sank into the sea. One sailor sustained minor injuries in the incident.
