Trump Blames Iran For Indian Ship Attacks

U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Iran of carrying out drone attacks on Indian ships leaving the Strait of Hormuz, calling the alleged action “totally unacceptable”. Iran has rejected the charge as baseless and accused Washington of trying to divert attention from U.S. strikes on vessels carrying Indian crew.

Trump Accuses Iran Over Indian Ships

Trump claimed that Iran had launched drone attacks on Indian ships moving out of the Strait of Hormuz. His remarks came amid heightened tensions in the Gulf, where commercial shipping has been hit by repeated military incidents.

The U.S. President also accused Tehran of spreading inaccurate information about the proposed peace deal between Washington and Iran. He said reported Iranian claims about the deal terms did not match the points under discussion.

Iran Rejects US Allegation

Iran strongly denied Trump’s accusation and called it baseless. The Iranian Embassy in India said the claim was an attempt to shift focus away from U.S. attacks on merchant vessels carrying Indian crew members.

Tehran said the United States had attacked three Indian-linked vessels in less than a week and that three Indian sailors had died in one of the incidents. Iran described the allegation against it as politically motivated.

Indian Seafarers Safety Concerns

The controversy comes after India raised strong objections with the United States over attacks on commercial vessels with Indian nationals on board. New Delhi has stressed that civilian shipping and seafarers must not become casualties of regional conflict.

The incidents have increased concern over the safety of Indian crew members operating near the Strait of Hormuz and Oman coast. India is monitoring the situation closely as maritime tensions continue to threaten global shipping routes.
