Kshitij Tyagi Pakistan – Bharat Pulse News

India has sharply criticised Pakistan at the UN Human Rights Council, accusing Islamabad of backing terrorists responsible for driving Kashmiri Pandits from their homes in 1990. New Delhi also rejected Pakistan’s remarks on Jammu and Kashmir and minorities in India. India Raises Kashmiri Pandit Exodus at UNHRC Exercising India’s right of reply in Geneva, diplomat Kshitij Tyagi said Kashmiri Pandits were forced from their homes by terrorists who, he alleged, were armed, trained and sent across the border by Pakistan. Tyagi said the same terrorist networks subsequently targeted Kashmiris belonging to different religious communities, including Muslims. Pakistan disputes India’s broader characterisation of the Kashmir conflict and has repeatedly raised the issue at international forums. India Tells Pakistan to Vacate Parts of J&K Tyagi reiterated India’s position that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral and inalienable part of the country. He said the territory administered by Pakistan was the only part of Jammu and Kashmir under foreign occupation and called on Islamabad to vacate it. India rejects third-party involvement in Kashmir-related matters and maintains that outstanding issues with Pakistan must be addressed bilaterally. India Questions Pakistan’s Minority Rights Record India also responded to Pakistan’s criticism of its treatment of minorities by highlighting the situation of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Ahmadis, Shias, Ismailis and Hazaras in Pakistan. Tyagi alleged that religious minorities in Pakistan face forced conversions, attacks on places of worship and misuse of blasphemy laws. He also criticised Pakistan’s economic dependence on international financial assistance, arguing that Islamabad should focus on development instead of territorial claims and cross-border terrorism.
