Rajnath Chairs NDA Parliament Strategy Meet

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a meeting of senior National Democratic Alliance leaders in New Delhi to finalise the ruling coalition’s strategy for the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament. The discussions focused on legislative priorities, floor coordination and the government’s response to issues expected to be raised by the Opposition.

NDA Leaders Discuss Parliament Strategy

The meeting brought together Union ministers and parliamentary leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party and its NDA allies. Participants reviewed the government’s agenda for the session and discussed ways to ensure effective coordination between coalition partners in both Houses.

The leaders also considered the allocation of responsibilities among ministers for responding to debates, questions and Opposition criticism. The government is expected to seek the cooperation of its allies for the passage of key legislation.

Monsoon Session Begins on July 20

The Monsoon Session of Parliament is scheduled to begin on July 20 and continue until August 13. An all-party meeting is also expected to be held before the session to discuss the legislative programme and seek cooperation for the smooth functioning of Parliament.

Several bills and policy matters are likely to be taken up during the session. The government is expected to brief political parties on its priorities and the business planned for both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

Opposition Prepares to Raise Key Issues

Opposition parties are expected to question the government on several national and political issues during the session. These could include alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, national security matters, economic concerns and other recent developments.

The NDA meeting focused on preparing coordinated responses and maintaining unity among coalition partners. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju is expected to continue consultations with floor leaders as the government prepares for debates and possible disruptions during the session.
