PM Modi Celebrates Diwali with Soldiers in Kutch, Emphasizes Border Security

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked Diwali by celebrating with Border Security Force (BSF), Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel stationed in Kutch, Gujarat.

Visiting the remote Creek area, he expressed deep admiration for the security forces defending India’s borders, even in extreme conditions. During his visit, PM Modi distributed sweets and conveyed his Diwali greetings, highlighting the nation’s pride in its military’s resilience and dedication.

While addressing the soldiers, PM Modi emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to national security, stating that “the country has a government that will not compromise even an inch of land on the border.” The Creek area, located along the India-Pakistan border, presents unique challenges with harsh environmental conditions, but the Prime Minister acknowledged that these difficulties only strengthen the determination of India’s security personnel.

PM Modi Recognizes Soldiers’ Valour

During his address, PM Modi lauded the “unwavering resolve, unrelenting bravery, and unparalleled valour” of the soldiers, noting how their commitment assures national peace and security. He remarked on the different terrains in which Indian soldiers serve—glaciers in the Himalayas, scorching deserts, and icy mountains—commending the robust training that enables them to withstand such harsh conditions and instill fear in adversaries.

Reflecting on his previous visits to Kutch as Gujarat’s Chief Minister, PM Modi underscored the BJP-led government’s dedication to meeting the needs of the armed forces, ensuring they are well-equipped and supported. He also referenced the 1971 war, in which Indian forces effectively countered enemy actions in the Sir Creek region, a contested area near Kutch.

The Prime Minister’s visit resonated deeply with the personnel stationed at the border, reaffirming the government’s steadfast stance on border security. With his words, PM Modi emphasized that India’s strength lies not only in its military capabilities but also in the soldiers who uphold the country’s sovereignty with valor and sacrifice.
