Ganga Expressway Toll-Free For 15 Days

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced that commuters using the newly opened Ganga Expressway will not have to pay toll charges for the first 15 days from its commercial operation date.

Ganga Expressway Toll-Free Travel

The 594-km Ganga Expressway, connecting Meerut with Prayagraj, has been opened for public use. The toll-free period has been announced to allow motorists to experience the new expressway without paying user charges during the initial days.

The move is also aimed at encouraging early usage of the corridor and familiarising commuters with the state’s longest expressway.

Meerut To Prayagraj Expressway Route

The Ganga Expressway is expected to improve connectivity between western and eastern Uttar Pradesh. It passes through multiple districts and is designed to reduce travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj.

The corridor is being seen as a major infrastructure project for Uttar Pradesh, with the potential to improve regional movement, logistics and access to key cities.

Toll Collection After Free Period

Toll collection will begin after the 15-day free travel window ends. Authorities have directed the concessionaires to suspend toll collection during this period.

Officials have also clarified that toll-free travel does not mean relaxed traffic rules. Safety monitoring, highway patrols and emergency services will remain active on the expressway.
