Nothing Launches Ear (open) Earphones with Unique Ear-Hook Design and Advanced Sound Features
Nothing has officially launched its new open-ear style wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear (open), designed with a unique ear-hook structure for a secure fit. Despite lacking the conventional in-ear design, the Ear (open) earbuds incorporate a sound seal system that works alongside directional speakers to minimize audio leakage. Priced at ₹17,999, the Ear (open) earbuds are available in a single white variant.
The British tech brand highlighted the earbuds’ novel design, which features a silicone ear hook with a nickel-titanium wire for flexibility and durability. Weighing just 8.1 grams per earbud, the Ear (open) is crafted to balance across three points, ensuring maximum comfort during prolonged wear.
Along with the sound seal system, the earbuds are equipped with 50-degree-tilted speakers that align directly over the ear, enhancing both sound delivery and comfort.
Powered by a 14.2mm dynamic audio driver, the Ear (open) is engineered with lighter components to boost mid and high frequencies by up to 3 dB. The custom-made titanium-coated diaphragm reduces distortion and deepens low frequencies, delivering a rich bass effect, according to Nothing.
The dual-microphone setup on the earbuds includes AI-powered Clear Voice Technology, designed to enhance voice clarity during phone calls. Additional features include a low-lag mode for gaming, compatibility with Microsoft Swift Pair and Google Fast Pair, and a “Find My Earbuds” function.
In terms of battery life, the Nothing Ear (open) offers up to eight hours of playback and six hours of talk time, which can be extended to 30 hours of playback and 24 hours of talk time when paired with the charging case.
