NEET UG re-exam pressure concerns
The incident has taken place amid heightened anxiety among students ahead of the NEET-UG re-examination. The re-test is scheduled for June 21 after the earlier examination was cancelled following allegations of irregularities and paper leak concerns.
Officials have not confirmed any direct link between the student’s death and exam-related stress. However, the timing has renewed concerns about mental health pressure faced by competitive exam aspirants.
Rajasthan student death investigation
Police are recording statements of family members and others as part of the investigation. Authorities are also examining the circumstances surrounding the death before reaching any conclusion.
Sikar, along with Kota, is one of Rajasthan’s major coaching hubs and attracts thousands of students preparing for medical and engineering entrance examinations. The latest case has again highlighted the need for stronger counselling support, stress monitoring and timely intervention for students preparing for high-pressure exams.
Students facing distress should immediately reach out to family members, teachers, counsellors or local emergency support.
