NTA Holds NEET UG Mock Drill Today
The National Testing Agency is conducting a nationwide mock drill on June 20 to review security, logistics and administrative readiness ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21.
NEET UG Re-Exam Mock Drill Across India
The mock drill is being held to test coordination between examination centres, district administrations, police teams and NTA officials before the medical entrance re-examination. The exercise is aimed at ensuring that all centres are prepared for a smooth and secure conduct of the test.
The re-examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. Candidates eligible for compensatory time under PwD/PwBD provisions will be allowed to write the examination until 6.20 pm.
NTA Security Plan For NEET UG 2026
The NTA has said that confidential examination material will be transported under strict supervision with support from district administrations, police forces and escort teams. The agency has also deployed city coordinators, observers, centre superintendents and invigilators to oversee examination-day arrangements.
More than 2 lakh personnel, including police and administrative officials, are expected to be involved in managing the re-examination process. The mock drill is expected to help identify and fix any last-minute gaps before the exam.
NEET UG Re-Exam Centres And Candidates
The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination will be held in 551 cities across India and 14 cities abroad. More than 22.79 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the test.
Candidates have been advised to follow the instructions mentioned on their admit cards, reach centres on time and carry only permitted items. The NTA has also issued exam-day guidelines to maintain transparency, security and fairness during the re-examination.
