MS Dhoni is likely to travel with the Chennai Super Kings squad to Lucknow for their crucial IPL 2026 match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 15, raising fresh speculation over a possible return to action.

Dhoni has not played a match in IPL 2026 due to a calf injury and has travelled with the Chennai Super Kings squad only on limited occasions this season. However, CSK have reportedly booked his ticket along with the travelling squad for the Lucknow fixture.
There is still no final confirmation on whether Dhoni will travel or feature in the match, as a last-minute decision remains possible.
CSK Playoff Chances In IPL 2026
Chennai Super Kings are placed fifth on the IPL 2026 points table with six wins and five defeats from 11 matches. After losing their first three games of the season, CSK have recovered strongly by winning six of their last eight matches.
The five-time champions remain in the playoff race but are expected to need at least two wins from their final three league matches to reach 16 points.
