NEET Leak: Rajasthan Brothers Arrested
Investigators probing the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak have found that two brothers from Rajasthan allegedly bought the exam paper from a Gurugram doctor for Rs 30 lakh before it was circulated further among aspirants.
NEET-UG Paper Leak Investigation
Mangilal and Dinesh Biwal, residents of Jamwa Ramgarh in Rajasthan, allegedly purchased the NEET-UG paper on April 26, around a week before the medical entrance examination. Investigators believe the paper was later passed within the family and then sold to others.
One of the brothers allegedly gave the paper to his son, who was preparing for the exam in Sikar. The paper was then reportedly sold to multiple people on April 29.
Sikar Emerges As Paper Leak Hub
Sikar has emerged as a major centre in the alleged leak network. The paper was reportedly sold to MBBS counselling agent Rakesh Kumar Mandawariya, who later passed it to an aide studying MBBS in Kerala.
Investigators found that the paper was then shared further through WhatsApp and Telegram groups involving students, hostel operators and coaching-linked contacts. The network allegedly spread to several states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Kerala and Uttarakhand.
Gurugram Doctor Under Scanner
The Gurugram doctor is now being treated as a key link in the case. Investigators are examining whether the leaked paper may have originated from a printing press in Nashik before reaching the doctor through a chain network.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case involving criminal conspiracy, cheating, breach of trust, theft and destruction of evidence.
NEET-UG 2026 Cancelled
The NEET-UG 2026 examination, held on May 3, has been cancelled following the leak allegations. The National Testing Agency is expected to announce fresh dates soon, while the CBI continues its nationwide probe.
