Dharmendra Pradhan Reviews NEET Re-Exam Readiness
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a high-level review meeting to assess preparations for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026. The meeting focused on ensuring a secure, transparent and error-free conduct of the medical entrance test amid heightened scrutiny over exam integrity.
NEET UG Re Exam Preparations Reviewed
Pradhan reviewed arrangements with senior officials from the Ministry of Education, the National Testing Agency, state governments and higher education institutions. The discussion centred on coordination between central and state authorities, examination logistics and security measures at centres.
The Minister stressed that the re-examination must be conducted smoothly and without any administrative lapses. Officials were asked to ensure that every stage of the process, from question paper handling to centre-level management, remains secure and closely monitored.

The review comes after concerns over irregularities and paper leak allegations triggered the decision to conduct the NEET-UG re-examination. The government has since announced stricter measures to protect the credibility of the exam.
Pradhan said student interest remains the government’s top priority and directed officials to maintain complete confidentiality in all exam-related procedures. He also emphasised the need for stronger coordination with district administrations and law enforcement agencies.
NTA NEET Re Exam On June 21
The National Testing Agency will conduct the NEET-UG re-examination on June 21. Authorities have been instructed to ensure adequate facilities for candidates, including proper seating, drinking water, security arrangements and smooth entry at centres.
The re-exam is being seen as a major test of the government’s ability to restore confidence among students and parents. Officials are expected to continue monitoring preparations closely until the examination is completed.
