Bahrain has arrested 41 people over alleged links to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, with authorities saying legal proceedings are underway against the suspects.

Bahrain Arrests 41 In IRGC-Linked Case

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said security investigations uncovered an organisation allegedly connected to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and the ideology of Wilayat Al Faqih.

Authorities claimed the group was involved in activities linked to foreign-backed networks. The arrests come amid heightened regional tensions involving Iran and Gulf countries.

Suspects Accused Of Funding Iran-Linked Groups

Bahraini officials alleged that the suspects collected and transferred funds to support Iran-linked groups. The Interior Ministry said the case is being handled through legal procedures and referred to the Public Prosecution.

Officials also said investigations are continuing into the wider network and its alleged links to Iran-based support structures.

Bahrain-Iran Tensions Rise Amid Regional Crisis

The arrests come during a period of increased security concern in Bahrain, which hosts the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet and has long accused Iran of supporting groups inside the kingdom.

Bahrain has previously announced arrests in cases involving alleged espionage and the sharing of sensitive information with Iran-linked entities. Tehran has often rejected such accusations in the past.

The latest case adds to the growing pressure in the Gulf as regional governments remain on alert over Iran-linked security threats and wider instability in West Asia.
