China Admits Support To Pakistan In Operation Sindoor
China has publicly acknowledged that it provided on-site technical support to Pakistan during last year’s conflict with India under Operation Sindoor. The disclosure marks the first open confirmation of Chinese personnel assisting Pakistan during the four-day military confrontation.
China Confirms Technical Support To Pakistan
Chinese state media reported that engineers from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China provided technical assistance to Pakistan during the conflict. The support was linked to Chinese-origin military platforms used by Pakistan, including fighter aircraft and related systems.
Operation Sindoor Disclosure Raises Concern
The admission is significant because it confirms deeper China-Pakistan military cooperation during an active conflict with India. Operation Sindoor was launched after the Pahalgam terror attack and involved Indian strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Pakistan’s Chinese-Origin Defence Systems In Focus
Pakistan relies heavily on Chinese military equipment, including J-10CE fighter jets, air defence platforms and other advanced systems. China’s confirmation of on-site support suggests that Chinese technical teams played a role in helping Pakistan operate or maintain these systems during wartime conditions.
India May Review Security Implications
The disclosure is expected to be studied closely in New Delhi. It raises strategic concerns about China’s operational role in future India-Pakistan crises and may influence India’s defence planning, air power assessment and diplomatic messaging on the China-Pakistan military axis.
