The storm caused large-scale damage across 26 districts, with deaths reported due to lightning strikes, collapsing structures, falling trees and other weather-related incidents. Several areas also reported damage to houses, livestock, crops and power infrastructure.

Officials have been directed to collect detailed reports on human losses, livestock deaths and property damage from affected districts.

Yogi Adityanath Orders Relief Measures

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed district magistrates and senior officials to visit affected areas, ensure immediate relief work and provide financial assistance to victims’ families as per government rules.

Authorities have also been asked to monitor compensation status regularly and ensure that help reaches affected families without delay. Relief teams were deployed in several districts to clear debris, restore access and support local residents.

Heavy Rain And Lightning Hit UP Districts

The severe weather hit Uttar Pradesh during the pre-monsoon season, when dust storms, lightning and sudden rainfall are common across northern India. However, the scale of the latest destruction has raised concern over preparedness and local disaster response.

Officials are continuing to assess the full extent of losses, while residents in affected areas have been advised to remain cautious during further weather activity.
