Trump Slams Houthis Over Saudi Arabia Attacks
President Donald Trump has sharply criticised Yemen’s Houthi rebels over their escalating attacks on Saudi Arabia, saying the group is “misbehaving very badly” as Riyadh faces repeated missile and drone strikes.
Trump Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Trump’s remarks came after a series of attacks targeted Saudi airports and other critical infrastructure, including King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The assaults have killed multiple people, injured hundreds and caused major disruption to civilian aviation.
Trump said the Houthis’ actions were unacceptable and indicated that Washington was closely watching the deteriorating security situation.
Saudi Arabia Faces Fresh Missile Threats
The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed Houthi ballistic missiles targeting military and civilian infrastructure, including Khamis Mushait airbase.
Riyadh airport operations have remained disrupted following repeated attacks, while airlines have cancelled or diverted flights because of continuing security concerns.
Saudi authorities have also intensified military operations against Houthi positions in Yemen.
US Weighs Response as Conflict Escalates
The latest escalation has increased pressure on Washington to determine whether it will provide additional military support to Saudi Arabia.
Trump has not announced direct US military action against the Houthis, but his comments mark a stronger public warning to the group.
The attacks come amid broader Middle East tensions involving Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States, with Houthi strikes threatening aviation, oil infrastructure and major regional shipping routes.
