Police said they were verifying the status of the licence and examining whether explosive materials and firecrackers had been stored or manufactured in violation of safety regulations. Investigators are also working to determine the immediate cause of the explosion. Questions Raised Over Regulatory Enforcement The tragedy has renewed concerns over illegal firecracker manufacturing units and the enforcement of safety standards in Gujarat. Authorities are expected to examine how the facility continued operating despite alleged licensing violations.
