Dozens of rescued people are receiving treatment in hospitals, including facilities in Kathmandu. Rasuwa Flood Devastates Central Nepal The disaster began after a massive flash flood swept through the Rasuwa region and travelled downstream through river systems into several districts. Large volumes of water, mud and debris destroyed homes, roads, bridges and other infrastructure, leaving communities isolated and complicating rescue efforts. Authorities have warned that casualty figures could continue to rise as teams reach previously inaccessible locations and search for people who remain missing. Emergency operations are continuing while officials assess the full scale of damage across central Nepal.
