Nepal Flood Death Toll Rises to 469
The death toll from devastating flash floods in Nepal has risen to 469, with rescue teams recovering more bodies as search operations entered their third day on Friday. Nepal Police said the fatalities have been recorded across eight districts affected by the disaster.

According to the latest police update, Chitwan has recorded the highest number of deaths, with 178 bodies recovered.
Nawalparasi East has reported 110 fatalities, while 44 bodies have been recovered in Gorkha. Nuwakot has recorded 37 deaths and Dhading 33.
Authorities have also recovered 28 bodies in Tanahun, 27 in Nawalparasi West and 12 in Rasuwa.
The figures remain provisional as search and recovery operations continue across flood-hit areas.
Rescue Teams Search for Missing People
Thousands of police personnel, soldiers and emergency workers have been deployed across affected districts to locate survivors and recover bodies.
At least 1,545 people have been rescued from areas affected by the floods, including residents and travellers who were stranded after roads, bridges and communication links were destroyed.
Dozens of rescued people are receiving treatment in hospitals, including facilities in Kathmandu.
Rasuwa Flood Devastates Central Nepal
The disaster began after a massive flash flood swept through the Rasuwa region and travelled downstream through river systems into several districts.
Large volumes of water, mud and debris destroyed homes, roads, bridges and other infrastructure, leaving communities isolated and complicating rescue efforts.
Authorities have warned that casualty figures could continue to rise as teams reach previously inaccessible locations and search for people who remain missing.
Emergency operations are continuing while officials assess the full scale of damage across central Nepal.
