Delhi Faces Major Security Restrictions The CJP had called for a mass protest at Jantar Mantar demanding Kumar’s resignation, but Delhi Police denied permission for the gathering. Authorities imposed extensive restrictions across central Delhi, including roadblocks, metro closures and detentions of protesters and CJP leaders. The escalating confrontation has turned electoral roll revisions and the Election Commission’s functioning into a major political flashpoint between the government and opposition.
