Six Killed In Iowa Domestic Shooting

Six people were killed in a shooting spree across multiple locations in Muscatine, Iowa, after what police described as an apparent domestic-related dispute. The suspected gunman, identified as 52-year-old Ryan Willis McFarland, later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound when confronted by officers.

Iowa Shooting Spree Leaves Six Dead

Police said the first emergency call came from a home in the 200 block of Park Avenue, where officers found four people dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators later discovered two more male victims at separate locations, including another residence and a nearby business.

Authorities believe all six victims were connected to the suspect, though their identities have not yet been officially released.

Suspect Dies During Police Confrontation

After the first shooting scene was discovered, officers located McFarland near a trail along the Mississippi River. Police said he shot himself while officers were speaking to him. Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police described the killings as an “act of evil” and said the investigation remains active.

Muscatine Police Probe Domestic Dispute

The Muscatine Police Department is working with other law enforcement agencies to piece together the timeline of the shootings. Investigators are examining how the domestic dispute escalated into multiple killings across the city.
