Saket Building Owner Arrested After Collapse

Delhi Police has arrested the owner of a multi-storey building that collapsed near Saket in south Delhi, killing six people and injuring several others. The incident took place in Saidulajab, close to Saket Metro station, where the building housed commercial establishments, including offices, cafes and a coaching institute.

The collapsed structure was a five-storey building where construction work was reportedly underway on the uppermost floor when the incident occurred. Police have identified the arrested owner as Karamveer, also reported as Karamveer Sejwal in some accounts.

Officials are investigating whether illegal construction, structural weakness or negligence contributed to the collapse. The building came down suddenly, trapping several people under the debris and triggering a major emergency response.
