RSS Alleges Petrol Bomb Attack In Ranchi

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has alleged that petrol bombs were hurled at its office in Ranchi in the early hours of Wednesday, prompting a police investigation and political reactions in Jharkhand.

RSS Ranchi Office Attack Alleged

The alleged attack took place at the RSS office in Nivaranpur under the Chutia police station area of Ranchi. CCTV footage circulating online reportedly showed two unidentified persons near the premises around midnight.

RSS functionaries alleged that petrol bombs were thrown at the office. No major damage or injury was immediately reported. Police have begun examining the footage and are working to identify the persons seen in the video.

Police Probe Petrol Bomb Claim

Police officials said pieces of glass bottles were recovered from the spot. A forensic team has been called to examine the material and confirm whether petrol or any other inflammable substance was used.

Authorities said it would be premature to confirm the exact nature of the objects before the forensic report. The investigation is also expected to look into the motive behind the incident and whether it was a planned attack.

BJP Targets Jharkhand Government

The incident triggered sharp political reactions, with BJP leaders criticising the law-and-order situation in Jharkhand. They alleged that the attack was part of a larger conspiracy and demanded a thorough probe.

The development comes amid heightened political tension in the state. Police are expected to increase monitoring around sensitive locations as the investigation continues.
