Rahul Gandhi Targets Govt Over CBSE OSM Row
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Centre over the CBSE On-Screen Marking row after meeting Class 12 students who alleged discrepancies in their evaluated answer sheets. Gandhi shared a video of the interaction and used a sarcastic reference to “anti-national Soros agents” to criticise the trolling faced by the students.
Rahul Gandhi On CBSE OSM Row
Rahul Gandhi said the students had raised basic questions about the CBSE evaluation process but were met with insults instead of answers. He said the students deserved a secure academic future and assured support for their concerns.
The remarks came after several students complained about alleged errors in scanned answer sheets uploaded during the revaluation process.
CBSE Answer Sheet Controversy
The row gained attention after a Class 12 student, Vedant Shrivastava, alleged that the Physics answer sheet uploaded by CBSE under the revaluation process was not his. The post went viral, following which other students also raised similar claims online.
CBSE has faced questions over its digital evaluation system and the On-Screen Marking process. The concerns include answer sheet mismatches, evaluation errors and the transparency of the rechecking mechanism.
Students Face Online Trolling
During the interaction, students told Gandhi that they were labelled “anti-national”, “Pakistani” and “deep state agents” after questioning the system. Gandhi’s “Soros agents” remark was aimed at mocking such political attacks on students.
The controversy has now become a wider political issue, with the Opposition demanding accountability and greater transparency from CBSE and the government.
