Rahul Gandhi Attacks PM Modi Over NEET Leak
Rahul Gandhi has stepped up his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy, demanding the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and accountability from the Centre.
Rahul Gandhi Questions PM Modi On NEET Leak
The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha asked why the Prime Minister had not sacked the Education Minister despite allegations that nearly 22 lakh NEET aspirants had been affected by the paper leak controversy.
Rahul Gandhi accused the government of remaining silent while students and their families faced uncertainty over one of India’s most important medical entrance examinations. He said the issue was not just an administrative failure but a betrayal of students preparing for competitive exams.
NEET UG Paper Leak Row Intensifies
The NEET-UG paper leak row has triggered fresh political pressure on the Centre, with the Congress demanding immediate responsibility from the Education Ministry. The opposition has alleged that repeated examination irregularities have weakened public trust in India’s national testing system.
The controversy has also revived concerns over the security of large-scale entrance exams and the future of students who depend on them for admission to medical colleges.
Congress Demands Education Minister’s Removal
Rahul Gandhi said Dharmendra Pradhan should be removed from office if the government accepts that students were harmed by the leak. He also argued that if no action is taken against the minister, the Prime Minister must take responsibility himself.
The BJP has responded by saying the Leader of Opposition has the right to make suggestions and that the government takes inputs from all sides to prevent such incidents in future.
