PM Modi To Visit France, Slovakia For G7
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit France and Slovakia from June 13 to 18 for a series of diplomatic engagements, including participation in the G7 Summit in France and bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
PM Modi France Visit For G7 Summit
PM Modi will travel to France at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron. He is scheduled to attend the G7 Summit in Evian, where India has been invited as a partner country.
The summit will bring together leaders from major economies and invited partner nations to discuss global priorities. Key areas of focus are expected to include international partnerships, economic cooperation, artificial intelligence, development, and issues concerning the Global South.
This will mark India’s 13th participation at the G7 Summit and PM Modi’s seventh consecutive appearance at the forum. His visit is expected to strengthen India’s engagement with major global economies.
India France Bilateral Talks
During the France leg of the visit, PM Modi is expected to hold talks with President Macron. The discussions are likely to review the wider India-France partnership, including defence, technology, innovation, trade and strategic cooperation.
Both leaders are also expected to attend innovation-focused engagements linked to the India-France partnership. These events will highlight cooperation between startups, research institutions and technology stakeholders from both countries.
PM Modi Slovakia State Visit
PM Modi will also visit Slovakia at the invitation of Prime Minister Robert Fico. The visit is significant as it will be the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia since the country became independent in 1993.
The talks in Slovakia are expected to focus on political ties, economic cooperation, trade, investment and people-to-people relations. The visit is aimed at expanding India’s engagement with Central Europe.
