PM Modi Reviews Governance And West Asia Crisis
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a four-and-a-half-hour meeting of the Council of Ministers, reviewing governance reforms, ministry performance and the possible economic impact of the ongoing West Asia crisis.

The high-level meeting focused on administrative efficiency, faster decision-making and the long-term goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. Modi said the vision of a developed India should be treated as a commitment, not merely as a slogan.
The meeting brought together Union Cabinet ministers, ministers of state with independent charge and ministers of state. It was seen as a major review exercise as the NDA government moves through the early phase of its third consecutive term.

More than half a dozen ministries made presentations during the meeting, with nine ministries giving detailed briefings on their performance and future plans. The Cabinet Secretary and NITI Aayog also made presentations.
The meeting also reviewed ministries that had recorded faster file disposal, with the government placing emphasis on timely implementation, ease of living and ease of doing business. Modi later described the discussions as fruitful.
West Asia Crisis Impact On India
The West Asia crisis was also discussed, with Modi reportedly asking ministries to ensure minimum inconvenience to citizens. Sectors such as energy, agriculture, fertilisers, aviation, shipping and logistics received focused attention.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also briefed ministers on the Prime Minister’s recent five-nation visit and its diplomatic outcomes. The tour covered the UAE, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy, with energy security, defence cooperation, trade and critical minerals among the key focus areas.
