Netanyahu Says Iran War Not Over

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the war involving Iran cannot be considered over until Tehran’s enriched uranium is removed and its remaining nuclear infrastructure is dismantled. His remarks came as the United States and Iran remain divided over a ceasefire proposal.

Netanyahu Demands Removal Of Iran Uranium

Netanyahu said Iran still has enriched uranium that needs to be taken out of the country. He also said Iran’s enrichment sites, missile programme and regional proxy networks remain a concern despite recent military setbacks.

The Israeli leader said the campaign had achieved major results but argued that the central nuclear threat had not been fully addressed. He did not provide a specific timeline for how or when the uranium could be removed.

Iran US Ceasefire Talks Face Setback

Netanyahu’s remarks came as US President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s response to a peace proposal, calling it “totally unacceptable.” Iran had sent its response through Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator between Washington and Tehran.

The US proposal reportedly focuses on ending the conflict, reopening the Strait of Hormuz and placing limits on Iran’s nuclear programme. Iran’s counter-position is understood to seek sanctions relief and wider guarantees against future attacks.

Israel Maintains Pressure On Tehran

Israel has maintained that Iran’s nuclear programme, ballistic missiles and armed allies across the region remain serious security threats. Netanyahu said these issues must be addressed before the war can truly end.

His comments signal that Israel may continue pushing for stricter terms even if diplomatic negotiations between the US and Iran continue.

West Asia Tensions Remain High

The uncertainty has added pressure on global energy markets and shipping routes, especially around the Strait of Hormuz. With ceasefire talks stalled and both sides holding firm, the region remains at risk of further escalation.
