Mojtaba Khamenei Backs Hezbollah Resistance

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has reaffirmed Tehran’s support for Hezbollah, declaring that continued “jihad and resistance” remained the path forward against the United States and Israel. His remarks followed a message of allegiance from Hezbollah’s leadership.

Mojtaba Khamenei Reaffirms Hezbollah Support

Khamenei addressed Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem and the organisation’s fighters through a written message shared online.

He praised Hezbollah’s continued opposition to Israel and described support for the Iran-backed Lebanese group as a strategic responsibility for Tehran. Khamenei said the policy continued the approach followed by his father and predecessor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Iranian leader also described Hezbollah as a leading force within the regional resistance movement.

Iran Links Peace Talks to Lebanon

Khamenei linked any broader agreement involving Iran and the United States to developments in Lebanon.

He demanded a complete and unconditional end to Israeli military operations in Lebanon as part of any settlement. He also called for the protection of Lebanon’s territorial integrity and continued Iranian support for Hezbollah fighters.

The statement underlined Tehran’s position that the conflicts involving Iran, Israel and Hezbollah remain closely connected.

Khamenei Pays Tribute to Nasrallah

Khamenei paid tribute to former Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and other commanders killed during the conflict with Israel.

He credited Nasrallah and Hezbollah’s fighters with transforming the organisation from a small resistance movement into a powerful regional force. He also expressed support for injured fighters, displaced Lebanese civilians and the families of those killed.

The remarks come amid continued tensions over Hezbollah’s military role, Israeli operations in Lebanon and international efforts to reach a broader regional settlement.
