Karnataka Clears ₹29,679 Crore Investment Push

Karnataka has approved investment proposals worth ₹29,679.20 crore across manufacturing, renewable energy, automobiles, aerospace and other sectors, with the projects expected to generate 66,360 jobs. The clearances include major commitments from Hero Future Energies, Mahindra Aerostructures, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and TVS Motor.

Karnataka Clears 17 Major Investment Proposals

The State High Level Clearance Committee, chaired by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, approved nine new projects and eight additional investment or amendment proposals.

The nine new projects account for ₹25,710.56 crore of investment and are projected to create 64,349 jobs.

Hero Future Energies has proposed the largest investment at ₹9,760 crore, with around 3,200 jobs expected. Mahindra Aerostructures plans to invest ₹2,300 crore and generate approximately 3,000 jobs.

Toyota, Bioenergy and Manufacturing Projects Approved

TruAlt Bioenergy has proposed an investment of ₹2,988 crore, while Toyota Kirloskar Motor plans to invest around ₹1,200 crore.

Other new projects include investments from Nirani Sugars, Aequs Consumer Products, Epsilon CAM and Lighthouse Canton Alternatives Asset Manager.

One of the approved real estate-related proposals involves investment of about ₹2,196 crore and is projected to support approximately 30,000 jobs.

TVS Motor and Honda Get Expansion Clearances

The committee also approved additional investments and amendments worth ₹3,968.64 crore, which are expected to create another 2,011 jobs.

These include ₹1,050 crore from TVS Motor, ₹437 crore from Honda Cars India and investments from MSPL, Sansera Engineering, Havells India and other companies.

Shivakumar directed officials to introduce mandatory pre-audits of project reports before granting industrial licences and ensure compliance with Karnataka’s industrial policy.
