IndiGo Cancels Saudi Flights Until October 17

IndiGo has cancelled all flights to and from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah until October 17 amid worsening security concerns in Saudi Arabia following repeated attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.

IndiGo Cancels Flights to Four Saudi Cities

The airline said services to the four Saudi destinations would remain suspended until October 17 because of the evolving security situation.

Passengers have been advised to check their flight status before travelling to airports and to use the airline’s rebooking or refund options where applicable.

The cancellations follow Saudi authorities extending restrictions at Riyadh airport while safety assessments continue after a series of attacks.

Other Indian Airlines Also Suspend Saudi Services

Air India has also cancelled flights to and from Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah until October 17, while Air India Express has suspended services on the same routes for the period.

Akasa Air has extended the suspension of flights to Riyadh and Jeddah until October 17.

Several international airlines have also reduced or suspended services to Saudi Arabia as concerns grow over civilian aviation safety.

Riyadh Airport Attacks Disrupt Regional Travel

Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has been hit repeatedly in recent days during an escalation involving Yemen’s Houthis and Saudi-backed forces.

One major strike killed at least 13 people and injured more than 300, while another attack the following day caused additional casualties.

The repeated strikes have forced airlines to reassess operations across Saudi Arabia and have caused widespread disruption for passengers travelling between India and the Gulf.
