Indian Navy to Finalize Rafale-M Jet Deal Soon
The Indian Navy is set to sign an agreement for procuring 26 Rafale-M fighter jets to bolster its maritime defense capabilities, confirmed Navy Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar on Saturday.
The announcement underscores India’s commitment to modernizing its naval forces amid evolving security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
Advanced Capability for Aircraft Carriers
The Rafale-M jets, tailored for carrier-based operations, will be deployed on India’s indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. Known for their versatility, these jets are equipped with cutting-edge avionics, advanced radar systems, and superior maneuverability, making them a valuable addition to India’s naval arsenal.
“This agreement is a critical step in enhancing the operational capability of the Indian Navy and ensuring maritime security,” Admiral Kumar stated during an interaction with reporters.
