He encouraged students to keep their curiosity alive and question established practices while also having the courage to develop solutions.
The Prime Minister advised graduates against constantly comparing salaries, placements or startup achievements with their peers, stressing that personal growth should remain their primary focus.
IIT Delhi Students Told to Build Viksit Bharat
Modi linked opportunities for young engineers with India’s push for greater economic, technological and industrial self-reliance.
He highlighted emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum computing, space technology, drones, critical minerals, data centres and energy security.
During the convocation, Modi also inaugurated Param Pragya, an AI-powered supercomputing facility aimed at strengthening IIT Delhi’s research and innovation capabilities.
He called on graduates to use their skills to contribute towards India’s development and said empowering young people would be central to achieving the country’s Viksit Bharat goals.
