India Slams Pakistan At UN Over Hate Campaign

India has sharply criticised Pakistan at the United Nations, accusing Islamabad of running a state-backed misinformation campaign by branding militant groups inside its own territory as “Fitna al Hindustan.”

India Targets Pakistan At UNSC

Speaking at a United Nations Security Council meeting on Afghanistan, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, said Pakistan was attempting to shift blame onto India through official propaganda.

India said Pakistan had issued official notifications asking government agencies to describe groups operating within Pakistan as “Fitna al Hindustan.” New Delhi called this an organised attempt to spread misinformation using religious terminology.

India said the campaign was designed to mislead Pakistan’s own citizens and the international community by blaming India for internal militant activity.

The Indian envoy described Pakistan’s narrative as an “organised factory of hate” and said Islamabad was using anti-India rhetoric to divert attention from domestic political and economic challenges.

India Raises Afghanistan Airstrike Issue

India also criticised Pakistan’s military actions in Afghanistan and accused it of causing civilian casualties through cross-border air strikes.

The Indian representative said counter-terrorism cannot justify the killing, maiming or orphaning of civilians. New Delhi also accused Pakistan of hypocrisy for speaking about international law and Islamic solidarity while carrying out air strikes during Ramadan.

The remarks came amid continuing India-Pakistan exchanges at global forums, where New Delhi has repeatedly accused Islamabad of sponsoring terrorism and misusing international platforms to target India.
