India has strongly condemned the attack on the United Arab Emirates’ Fujairah region after three Indian nationals were injured, calling the targeting of civilians and infrastructure unacceptable amid rising tensions in West Asia.
India Condemns UAE Fujairah Attack
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attacks on the UAE and said India stands in firm solidarity with Abu Dhabi. He said targeting civilians and infrastructure was unacceptable and called for a peaceful resolution of all issues through dialogue and diplomacy.
The Ministry of External Affairs also said the attack on Fujairah, which injured three Indian citizens, was unacceptable.
Three Indians Injured In Fujairah
The injuries were reported after a drone attack sparked a fire at a key facility in Fujairah. Authorities said the injured Indian nationals were taken for medical treatment.
Fujairah is a strategically important energy and maritime hub for the UAE, allowing oil exports through the Gulf of Oman and reducing dependence on routes through the Strait of Hormuz.
India Calls For Safe Hormuz Navigation
India also stressed the importance of safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. The waterway remains critical for global energy supplies and is especially important for countries dependent on Gulf oil and gas shipments.
The incident has added to concerns over the widening regional conflict, with India urging an immediate end to hostilities and protection of innocent civilians.
