In a stunning spectacle, the Indian Air Force (IAF) captivated thousands of spectators at Chennai’s Marina Beach with an impressive aerial display on Sunday, October 6, 2024. The event, marking the 92nd IAF Day, featured 72 aircraft, including the state-of-the-art Rafale jets, performing breathtaking maneuvers over the iconic Marina skyline.
The air show, which is expected to enter the Limca Book of World Records, highlighted the agility and prowess of IAF’s modern fleet. A mix of fighter jets and heritage aircraft, including Rafale, Tejas, SU-30, Dakota, and Harvard, participated in the display. The performance included a dazzling formation flight, complete with flares lighting up the sky, leaving the audience in awe.

IAF Day Celebration Witnessed by High-Profile Dignitaries
The IAF Day celebrations were held between the Lighthouse and Chennai Port, attracting a huge turnout of residents eager to catch a glimpse of the aerial spectacle. Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh graced the event alongside Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, and other senior state officials, including Chennai Mayor R. Priya.
