Delhi Police Seek Telegram Details After Pro-Khalistan Group Claims School Blast

Delhi Police have reached out to social media platforms and the messaging app Telegram after a pro-Khalistan group claimed responsibility for a blast near a CRPF school in Rohini, New Delhi.

The explosion, which occurred on Monday in Prashant Vihar, caused significant damage to nearby buildings and vehicles, but no injuries were reported.

Investigation Points to Khalistani Link

The Delhi Police are investigating a potential Khalistani connection after a post appeared on a Telegram channel named “Justice League India” (JLI), claiming the blast was in retaliation for Indian agencies allegedly targeting pro-Khalistan separatists. The message, which included a video of the blast with a “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark, warned of further retaliation against Indian authorities.

Delhi Police Seek Telegram Channel Details

The investigation team has formally requested Telegram to provide information on the channel from which the post originated. As of now, no response has been received from the messaging platform, according to officials. Authorities are working to trace the source of the message and are treating the incident as a serious security threat.

Backdrop of Rising Tensions

The incident comes amid rising tensions over New Delhi’s stance against global anti-India activities by Khalistani groups. The post appeared to reference ongoing diplomatic issues, particularly in light of India’s recent diplomatic row with Canada over accusations related to pro-Khalistan activities.

Delhi Police are continuing their probe into the blast, with efforts focused on uncovering any further links to Khalistani groups and preventing future threats.
