Commercial LPG Price Cut By ₹183.50
State-run oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders for the first time this year, offering relief to hotels, restaurants, caterers and other businesses that depend heavily on cooking gas.
Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Cut
Commercial LPG cylinder prices were cut by up to ₹183.50 from July 1, bringing the 19-kg cylinder rate in Delhi down to ₹2,930. The reduction comes after commercial LPG prices had touched ₹3,113.50 in the previous month.
The price cut is part of the regular monthly revision carried out by oil marketing companies. Commercial LPG rates vary across cities depending on local taxes, freight and other cost components.
City-Wise LPG Cylinder Rates
After the latest revision, the commercial LPG cylinder price in Mumbai stands at around ₹2,885.50. In Kolkata, the rate has been reduced to ₹3,081.50, while in Chennai, a 19-kg commercial cylinder now costs ₹3,106.
The reduction is expected to ease operating costs for restaurants, hotels, roadside eateries and small businesses. Commercial users had faced higher costs earlier this year due to repeated price increases and volatility in global energy markets.
Domestic LPG Price Unchanged
The latest price cut applies only to 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders. There has been no reduction in the price of domestic 14.2-kg LPG cylinders used by households.
The revision comes as global energy market pressure has eased compared to recent months. Lower commercial LPG prices may provide limited cost relief to businesses, although the benefit will depend on local consumption levels and overall operating expenses.
