China Calls India Border Situation Stable
China has described the situation along its border with India as “generally stable” amid fresh concerns over reported Chinese military activity near Arunachal Pradesh. Beijing said the two countries have functioning communication channels and remain in contact over maintaining peace along the disputed frontier.

China’s Foreign Ministry said the border situation was currently stable and stressed that both sides had agreed to maintain communication through existing diplomatic and military mechanisms.
Beijing, however, did not directly address reports of heightened Chinese military activity near Arunachal Pradesh, including concerns surrounding the Taksing area in Upper Subansiri district.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has rejected claims of a fresh Chinese incursion, saying the Indian Army continues to safeguard the country’s territory.
India Stresses Peace Along China Border
India has reiterated that peace and tranquillity along the Line of Actual Control are essential for the overall development of bilateral relations with China.
The position was reinforced during recent talks under the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs, where both countries discussed border management, coordination mechanisms and measures to maintain stability.
Arunachal Pradesh Remains Key Flashpoint
Tensions have also surfaced over China’s continuing claims on Arunachal Pradesh. India maintains that the northeastern State is an integral and inalienable part of the country.
Despite improving diplomatic engagement and efforts to stabilise the LAC, the unresolved boundary dispute continues to remain one of the most sensitive issues in India-China relations.
