Yash Dayal Disputes RCB Absence Claim
Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal has disputed the franchise’s earlier explanation about his absence from IPL 2026, saying the decision was “not my decision.” His remarks have brought renewed attention to his status with RCB and the circumstances behind his non-participation this season.
Yash Dayal Counters RCB Statement
Dayal responded after an RCB official had earlier indicated that the pacer would miss IPL 2026 due to personal reasons. The left-arm fast bowler said the absence was not his own call, while also stating that he remains part of the franchise.
His clarification has raised questions over the communication between the player and the team management, especially since he has not featured for RCB during the ongoing IPL season.
RCB Pacer Remains Under Contract
Despite missing the season, Dayal remains contracted with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB had earlier confirmed that he would not take part in IPL 2026, but did not announce his release from the squad.
The situation has triggered speculation among fans, particularly because Dayal was not seen in regular team activities, training visuals or match-day plans this season.
Legal Proceedings Linked To Absence
Reports have linked Dayal’s absence to ongoing legal proceedings. The pacer is facing allegations in one matter, along with a separate case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Dayal has not returned to competitive cricket during the season. His latest comments suggest that the matter is not simply a personal withdrawal, leaving RCB’s handling of the issue under public scrutiny.
