US Warns Gulf Allies of Possible Iran Strikes

The United States has reportedly warned several Middle Eastern allies to prepare for possible renewed military strikes against Iran after the November 3, 2026, midterm elections. Two diplomats briefed on the discussions said Washington had also cautioned regional governments about potential Iranian retaliation targeting energy facilities and critical infrastructure. President Donald Trump has not made a final decision on military action.

US Warns Gulf Allies of Possible Iran Strikes

American diplomatic and defence officials have privately advised regional partners to strengthen security preparations ahead of a possible escalation.

According to the diplomats, a renewed American military operation could last several days, although Iranian retaliation and attacks by allied armed groups could prolong the confrontation.

The White House declined to comment on the reported warnings.

Trump Deploys Additional Military Forces to Gulf

The Pentagon recently deployed the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier and amphibious vessels carrying approximately 9,000 personnel towards the Persian Gulf.

The reinforcements could significantly increase America’s naval and air capabilities in the region.

Meanwhile, Houthi attacks on Saudi oil facilities and airports have widened the conflict, prompting retaliatory strikes by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

Iran Seeks Diplomacy as Regional Tensions Rise

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran remained open to diplomatic negotiations and was working with mediators on proposals to restore a ceasefire.

The United Arab Emirates also urged Washington and Tehran to pursue political solutions rather than resume large-scale military operations.

The conflict, which began in February, has disrupted energy markets and increased international fuel prices.

Trump has suggested that the war could end within weeks while continuing to warn of further strikes unless Iran accepts restrictions on its nuclear programme.
