Trump Warns Iran Over Nuclear Deal

US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington would either reach a deal with Iran or “finish the job,” renewing the possibility of military action as diplomatic efforts remain stalled.

Trump Iran Deal Warning

Trump made the remarks at the White House, saying the United States preferred a negotiated agreement with Iran but was prepared to take further action if diplomacy failed.

He said Washington could target Iran’s infrastructure if required, while adding that he would rather secure a deal because of the impact any escalation could have on Iran’s population.

The statement comes at a tense stage in US-Iran relations, with both sides under pressure to show strength while avoiding a wider regional conflict.

US Iran Talks Remain Stalled

Indirect talks between the United States and Iran ended last week without any public sign of progress. The discussions were aimed at building on a 60-day ceasefire that was designed to create space for diplomacy after earlier US and Israeli strikes triggered the conflict.

Washington has maintained that the central objective is to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Tehran has repeatedly denied seeking nuclear arms and has accused the US of using threats instead of serious diplomacy.

Iran Rejects US Military Threat

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr dismissed Trump’s comments as “delusional” and said Iran would respond if threatened.

The warning also came after the funeral of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, where large public gatherings signalled defiance rather than political collapse.

The latest exchange raises fresh uncertainty over whether diplomacy can resume or whether the region faces another phase of military escalation.s, Iran military threat
